AI Rank Monitor

See how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & Perplexity rank your brand against competitors

A step-by-step guide

01

Why AI Rank Monitor

Buyers ask AI before they buy — this shows whether AI recommends you

Ai-ssistance
Concept

From SEO to GEO

Your customers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity “what’s the best vitamin brand in Thailand?” — and act on the answer. AI Rank Monitor measures whether those models name and rank your brand, the way you used to track Google rankings.

SEO → GEO SEO is about ranking on Google. GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — is about being recommended inside AI answers. This tool is your GEO dashboard.
Brand-blind questions It asks each AI realistic buyer questions that never name your brand — so a mention is earned, not prompted.
You vs competitors Every score is relative: where you stand against the rivals AI drops into the same answer.

How it works

One brand, five AI engines, one scoreboard

Give it a brand. It writes buyer questions, sends them to five AI engines, reads every answer, and scores how often — and how highly — each brand gets recommended.

Read the numbers

Five numbers you’ll see

Define them once here — the result screens just show you where each one lives.

Visibility Score How strongly a brand shows up across answers — mentions, position, and keyword relevance blended into 0–100.
Share of Visibility Your slice of the total visibility pie — the donut headline. 21% means a fifth of all AI attention in your set.
Share of Voice Of all the answers that name any brand, what fraction name yours.
Ranking / Position Where you land in an AI’s numbered list. #1 = top pick; only top-10 placements count.
Sentiment The tone when you’re mentioned — positive, neutral, or negative.

Run Your First Analysis

From a brand name to live results in five short steps

Ai-ssistance

Step 1

Open AI Rank Monitor

  • The tool opens on the Brand step. The wizard runs left to right: Brand → Competitors → Questions → Analysis → Results
  • A dashed panel names the engines that will run: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode — five AI providers per question
  • Top right shows your credit balance and organization. You need credits to run an analysis — cost lands in Step 5
Ai-ssistance
Brand input with locale set to Thailand and a brand typed into the search box
Step 2

Enter Your Brand & Market

  • Pick the locale first — set it to the market you sell in (here, Thailand 🇹🇭). The questions and brands AI surfaces depend on it, so the wrong market gives the wrong answers
  • Type a brand name or website — e.g. Blackmores. Names and URLs both work; the system detects the rest
  • Press the arrow to analyze. Identifying the company is free — no credits spent yet
Ai-ssistance

Step 3

Confirm the Company

  • AI Rank Monitor profiles the brand — name, industry, a description, and detected keywords — even from just a name
  • Check it’s the right company and market. If not, hit “← Change Brand” and try again
  • Happy with it? Click “Identify Competitors →” to let it find your rivals
Ai-ssistance
Competitor selection grid with five auto-discovered competitors, all selected
Step 4

Pick Competitors

  • It auto-discovers up to 12 real competitors (here: MEGA We Care, Vistra, Centrum, Swisse, Nature’s Way) — all selected by default
  • Click a tile to drop or re-add it, or “+ Add competitor” to include one it missed. Keep the brands you actually compete with — they define your scoreboard
  • Click “Continue to Questions →”. Discovering competitors is still free
Ai-ssistance

Step 5

Review the Questions

  • AI writes 8 buyer questions in your market’s language (here, Thai) — none of them names your brand. Edit, remove, or “+ Add Question” your own
  • Flip High Effort Mode to ask each provider 5× instead of once — slower and pricier, but it averages out the randomness for a steadier score
  • “Start Analysis” fires every question at all five engines
Cost: 10 credits per analysis (20 in High Effort Mode), charged only on success
Ai-ssistance
Live analysis progress with per-engine status icons and a live stat strip
Step 6

Watch It Run

  • Each question shows a live status per engine — a spinner for running, a green check for done, grey for skipped
  • The stat strip counts up in real time: prompts run, brand mentions detected, and an estimated time remaining
  • 8 questions × 5 engines = 40 runs (×5 samples in High Effort). Sit tight — results open automatically when it finishes

Step 7 · Brand Ranking

Where You Rank Overall

  • The donut splits total visibility across every brand. The centre shows your rank and Share of Visibility — Blackmores lands Rank #1 at 21%
  • The ranked legend reads top to bottom: you (the “You” pill) against each competitor, with a bar for quick comparison
  • Start here for the headline: am I winning AI visibility in my category, and by how much?
Ai-ssistance
Comparison Matrix heat-map of brands by provider with an average column
Step 8 · Comparison Matrix

Who Wins on Which Engine

  • A heat-map: brands down the rows, the five engines across the columns, plus an average. Darker = stronger
  • Each cell is a 0–100 score — #1 = 100%, dropping 10% per rank; 50% = mentioned but unranked; 0% = not mentioned at all
  • Scan a column to see which engine favours which brand. Blackmores reads 100% across the board — it tops every engine
Ai-ssistance

Step 9 · Questions & Responses

What Each AI Actually Said

  • Read each engine’s answer verbatim. A green “Brand Mentioned” badge and a “Position #N” tag tell you where you landed
  • Switch provider tabs to compare wording across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode
  • This is your evidence layer — the exact text behind every score, so you can see why a competitor outranked you
Ai-ssistance
Provider Rankings table for one engine with visibility, share of voice and sentiment
Step 10 · Provider Rankings

Drill Into One Engine

  • Pick one engine at a time. The table ranks every brand by Visibility, with Share of Voice and Sentiment beside it
  • The stat row sums up your standing there: rank, visibility, share of voice, average position, sentiment
  • Use it to spot a weak engine — #1 on OpenAI but mid-pack on Perplexity? That’s where to focus
Ai-ssistance
Recommended Keywords with an optimization score, performance buckets and provider insights
Step 11 · Recommended Keywords

Where to Improve

  • An Optimization Score (0–100) plus the words the AIs already tie to your category — split into Winning, Competitive, and Missing
  • Per-provider insights show the keywords each engine leans on, with a tip for each
  • Mine Missing and Competitive for content gaps to close — a category leader may show none — then export to CSV to brief your team

Step 12 · History

Revisit & Re-run

  • Open the sidebar for every past analysis — brand, market, and when you ran it. Your newest (Blackmores) sits on top
  • Click any entry to reload its full results instantly — no credits, no re-running
  • “+ New Analysis” starts a fresh brand. Re-run the same brand monthly to track whether your AI visibility is climbing

FAQ & Tips

The questions every first-time user asks

Ai-ssistance
FAQ · Cost

Credits & Cost

What you pay, and when.

How much? A standard analysis is 10 credits; High Effort Mode is 20. Identifying the company, finding competitors, and generating questions are all free.
When am I charged? Only when an analysis finishes. If it errors out partway, you keep your credits.
Out of credits? You can still browse past results, but “Start Analysis” is blocked until your organization tops up.

FAQ · Accuracy

Why Results Move

AI answers aren’t fixed — here’s how to read them right.

It’s a snapshot Models answer a little differently each time, and shift month to month. One run is a reading, not a verdict.
High Effort Mode Asking each engine 5× and averaging cuts the noise. Use it when a score sits on the fence, or for a brand you’ll report on.
Which engines ran Scores average over whichever providers are configured. If one engine is down, your score reflects the rest.

FAQ · Tips

Getting Sharper Results

Small inputs, big difference.

Set the right market Locale drives the language and the brands AI surfaces. Selling in Thailand? Set Thailand — not the US default.
Curate competitors Drop irrelevant rivals, add the ones that matter. The competitor set is the yardstick every score is measured against.
No competitors found? Discovery is best-effort and cached. Add them by hand with “+ Add competitor”, or sharpen the brand description.
“Session expired”? Your login lapsed — sign in again. The tool also needs a selected organization with credits to run.
